UWV expert opinion: which question should you ask? General information.
If you disagree about reintegration, a UWV expert opinion can advise on a specific question. Write down precisely where the disagreement lies, rather than submitting only a general account of a conflict.
UWV may assess whether you can resume full work, whether offered work is suitable or whether reintegration efforts are sufficient. Each situation requires a separate application. Decide exactly what you want investigated.
The expert opinion is advisory. Employer and employee cannot lodge an objection against it and are not obliged to follow it. UWV may nevertheless use it when later assessing the reintegration report.
If you disagree with the occupational physician’s advice, a second opinion from another occupational physician may also be relevant. Do not confuse that route with a UWV expert opinion. Choose the route fitting your question.
UWV requests different documents for different applications, such as a problem analysis, action plan or job description. Follow medical-information instructions carefully. Check the cost of your application beforehand too.
If there is also a wage dispute or dismissal notice, discuss what other action is required. Do not assume a quick assessment. The expert-opinion guide helps you prepare your question and records.
