Social results and improvements

Our mission requires proof of what people benefit from the information. Reach, use and social effects are different things.

Text version

How should our work contribute?

  1. Commitment: time, knowledge and resources for explanation, source control, tools and technology.
  2. Activities: creating and maintaining information, offering translations and developing practical tools.
  3. Direct results: available explanations and tools and their use, with a defined measurement period.
  4. Intended change: people understand more, prepare more targeted questions and know better where appropriate help can be found.

This reasoning is a measurement framework. It does not yet prove that an improvement has been caused by our platform.

What specifically do we want to investigate?

  • Whether visitors can retell the gist of an explanation in their own words.
  • Whether a checklist helps to prepare a conversation with a lawyer.
  • Where people with different language and reading skills get stuck.
  • Whether visitors know what next step is possible and which questions still require personal advice.
  • Which errors and thresholds are reported and what improvements follow.

In research, numbers, selection of participants, measurement method and limitations must be visible. A click on a contact button is not proof of receipt of legal assistance.

What results do we already publish here?

No annual impact report with a baseline measurement and substantiated results has yet been published on this page. We therefore do not post success rates, visitor figures or claims about improved access to justice without an associated source and measurement period.

A future report should also contain missing data, disappointing findings and improvement actions. The current overview of available and yet to be supplemented substantiation can be found at Transparency and accountability.
