AI usage and translations

AI can help create information and present it in an accessible way. That is why we want to be clear about the commitment, the limitations and the responsibility that remains with people.

Text version

What do we use AI and automation for?

When developing our websites, we use AI and other digital tools, including for text suggestions, structuring, translations and forms of explanation such as videos. This can support work that would otherwise take a lot of time.

AI can make mistakes, misinterpret sources, add information that is not in a source or omit uncertainties. A convincing formulation is therefore not proof of correctness. An automatic check or successful technical test is also not a legal assessment.

Who is responsible for the content?

Responsibility for what we publish remains with the company and the editorial organization. AI is not a lawyer, legal reviewer or author with a verified professional registration. We do not present an AI outcome as an independent expert statement.

In the information about editing and assessment you can read how an actual legal assessment is stated. On this page we do not claim that all AI-enabled content has already been attorney-reviewed.

How should you assess translations?

Our websites provide information in multiple languages. AI can be used in translations. A translated page has not automatically been independently checked by a native speaker or a lawyer who speaks both languages.

The subject remains Dutch law, unless expressly stated otherwise. A translation does not make the rules the same as those of another country. Pay extra attention to legal concepts, deadlines and exceptions. Translations of legal texts on our platform are not official legal publications.

What applies to a digital assistant?

When an AI assistant is available and enabled on this website, it can help organize a question and find an explanation. The assistant does not take on a case, does not decide on rights and does not monitor deadlines.

For an enabled call feature, ElevenLabs can be used. Inputs can be processed by that service. Do not share BSN, password, complete file or unnecessary data of others. In employment law, information from personnel files, salary information and medical data in particular requires restraint. A callback form and an AI conversation are different features.

What can you report?

You can report an incorrect translation, missing exception or possible fabricated source via redactie@jurismedia.nl. Please provide the page, language and passage. For further explanation of review and changes, please refer to the Editorial policies and corrections.
